Here is one of my most favorite paintings to date. I would love to say this is based strictly on my talent, but really...... look at him. He's gorgeous. This gorgeous black stallion was in a parade I participated in this summer in Geneva, Illinois. He was stunning. I'd also like to say I was lucky in my photo reference shot of him, but this guy LOVES to pose. I have been falling in love with the Spanish Baroque babies and he is no exception. The original hangs in a gallery in Geneva, Illinois called "The Stable Woman" if you would like to see it.
He is 24 X 18 and oil.
Welcome to my gallery.
Thank you for visiting.

My concentration as of late has been strictly equestrian subjects. Mainly, the gorgeous Andalusians, Friesians and Lusitanos. Their unique body structure, personalities and overall strength and gracefulness is not only awe-inspiring but art-inspiring. I have had an absolute dream painting these magnificent breeds and can not wait to jump into more this summer.
This handsome devil I met in Grayslake, Illinois at an amazing dressage exhibit. I loved his calm demeanor and his proud gait. This guy was so much fun to paint and I kept my palette limited to grays and neutral browns to accentuate his "blingy" attire.
